The AcadNet competition was 1st organized in 2008. There are two sections: Computers and Networking. Each section has two age groups represented by the grades the students are in. Thus, grades 9-10 and 11-12 are separated in two subsections, for each section. The contest has a theoretical part, in the form of a multiple choice quiz with one or more correct answers and/or a practical challange on virtual machines or simulators.
The students participating in Networking receive a Cisco Packet Tracer topology and they are being asked to do troubleshooting or implement new functionalities. The solved subject should be uploaded on the contest site within the assigned timeframe.
The students participating in Computers will receive access to one or more virtual machines on which they will be required to solve different tasks.
